Why Volunteer?

The Economic Recession of 2009 clearly demonstrated a nationwide lack of financial education knowledge.  High school students have consistently failed national tests on personal finance topics and the recent trend is scoring lower, not higher.

We need your involvement to help mold our nation’s future leaders.

Teachers are asking for your help!

  • In a recent survey of teachers, 100% said they would look to utilize speakers in their classrooms if a simple request system was made available.
  • Your presence in the classroom will make teachers feel more comfortable.
  • Students will benefit from meeting a professional in their community.
  • In a recent survey of teachers, 100% said they would look to utilize speakers in their classrooms if a simple request system was made available.
  • Each classroom in your community is asking for 2-3 speakers! That’s a lot of volunteers in local districts – We need people like you!

It's an easy way to "Give Back"

Simply sharing your experiences, general or specific knowledge of personal finance and stories of financial success or failure will help engage students in financial topics and making learning real.

  • It’s Simple and Rewarding! We help get you ready for the classroom experience by offering some simple tips on what to do (or not to do) to get the students engaged!
  • It’s Flexible! You choose where, when, what topics to cover and how long to speak. When signing up, you can be as flexible as you’d like – you tell us what you need! For example, specify individual schools you’d like to speak at or offer to be available to entire districts or geographic areas.

Volunteer Now! Give back to your community, help teachers educate students on financial topics and take advantage of this opportunity to truly make a difference in a students’ financial education!

We need people like you.
