Assessment:
I have done this a couple of ways whether it be an introductory lesson or a more in depth lesson. I have the students struggle with a week's worth of planning, or I have had them plan just one day's worth of meals. The teacher will need to remember to have the students do the math to break down the food costs from the USDA whether you are working with a day, a week, or the month.
