Budgets

The concept of budgeting can be taught in a matter of hours. Many computer and internet based products are available that perform the budgeting function automatically for consumers. In order for students to truly understand budgeting, they must understand the components of a budget; but then must be asked to actually maintain one over a period of time so it is highly recommended that a budgeting project be implemented that requires the students to track their income and expenses for no less than 6-8 weeks.
