Integration Model - 6 Week Instruction

Welcome to the recommended course model for integration of personal finance topics into an existing course of study.

This model covers the nine foundational topics of a personal finance education and focuses on the bare minimum to include only the essentials for basic personal finance understanding. For example, in the Integration Model, one week is allocated to teach credit/debt whereas in the Full Course Model calls for four weeks to be dedicated to the content.

As you begin introducing personal finance topics into your existing curriculum, consider leveraging your community and requesting a speaker to talk with your students. Professional speakers can bring knowledge and experience that benefit classroom instruction and students will appreciate a new perspective.

The more students are exposed to personal finance content the more successful they will be in the future, in both school and in life. We encourage you to also review the Full Course Model as well and compare all the differences.
